What is the use of SimScale?
For thermo-structural analysis, SimScale uses Code_Aster and CalculiX. At present, SimScale allows uncoupled thermo-mechanical simulations, conjugate heat transfer and convective heat transfer analysis. Both steady-state and transient simulations are possible.
Is SimScale any good?
SimScale is straight-forward to use even for someone with no previous experience in computational fluid dynamics. The work-flow is intuitive, there is lots of good documentation that get you up to speed quickly. There is also amazing support available through the user forum and the very helpful SimScale staff.
Is SimScale better than Ansys?
In summary, Simscale is as efficient as my previous tools (and much more efficient than the Proe/Ansys combination) , more capable, and lot cheaper. I can turn out better products because I can perform more robust analysis upfront, I can do this as quickly as before, and it cost me less money.
Is SimScale for free?
SimScale is free for students, researchers, and educators. We usually recommend going with the Academic Enterprise Plan.
Is SimScale open source?
SimScale is based on cutting-edge open source solver technology currently being used by leading companies, in a large number of industries with different requirements, such as automotive, aerospace, process technology, and power generation.
What solver does SimScale use?
SimScale is based on cutting-edge open source solver technology, including OpenFOAM, which is currently used by leading companies in a large number of industries such as automotive (BMW, Ford, Volkswagen), aerospace, (Airbus), process technology (Siemens), and power generation (General Electric).
Which is better Ansys or Matlab?
What is better MATLAB or ANSYS DesignModeler? For overall quality and performance, MATLAB scored 9.4, while ANSYS DesignModeler scored 9.5. On the other hand, for user satisfaction, MATLAB earned 95%, while ANSYS DesignModeler earned 80%.
Is SimScale based on OpenFOAM?
What software is used for CFD?
Autodesk CFD is a computational fluid dynamics simulation software that engineers and analysts use to intelligently predict how liquids and gases will perform. Autodesk CFD helps to minimize the need for physical prototypes while providing deeper insight into fluid flow design performance.
