Why are hats not allowed in school?
One reason hats are banned is because it is a distraction. How could a hat be a distraction? Students are allowed to wear bracelets in school and some of them are brightly colored and could easily become a distraction, but they are not banned. Another excuse for banning hats is it’s disrespectful to wear hats indoors.
Is wearing a cap indoors rude?
There is nothing wrong with wearing a hat indoors if it’s required, such as a hard hat at a construction site. During the “National Anthem” – The hat must be removed and held until the anthem is over. This rule applies both indoors and outside.
Is it OK to wear a hat in church?
Hats in church are not acceptable. As a sign of respect, the hat is briefly removed or raised when passing in front of a church, as well as, passing funeral procession. The etiquette for women’s hats in church is not so strict. Women can leave their hats in church unless it blocks someone’s view like at the wedding.
