What are Gripit fixings?
GripIt fixings are designed to accept screws of various lengths provided that the tip of the screw, when fully inserted, does not make contact with solid material within the wall space.

A firm founded by the youngest entrepreneur to secure investment on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den is on the brink of insolvency, the BBC has learnt. Gripit Fixings makes a product designed to fix heavy items to plasterboard. However, Mr Daykin left the company this summer and an insolvency practitioner has now been called in.

How do you remove a grip?
To remove your Gripit from the wall, remove the screw/bolt and any attached hooks, brackets etc. Turn the centre of the Gripit a quarter rotation anti-clockwise with a screwdriver to close the wings. Then use your fingers, a flathead screwdriver or similar to gently pry the edge of the Gripit collar out of the wall.

Use a hammer to gently tap the anchor into the drilled hole. Top tip – there is an arrow on each Gripit to help you correctly align the anchors in the wall. Use a screwdriver to turn the cam and open the wings for super grip strength. Top tip – to reuse Gripit, simply reverse the action to close the wings and remove from the wall.
