Can I replace just one tie rod end?

While it may not be absolutely necessary to replace both tie rods at the same time, many mechanics may recommend a varying combination of replacement parts. If you are changing an inner tie-rod, and the outer tie-rod is an original part, it is recommended to change both.

Is there a steering brace kit for Dodge Ram 3500?

I installed the steering gearbox brace kit from Synergy Manufacturing (Part No. 8558-04) on my ’05 Ram 3500, which has the original small steering gearbox, with 4 bolts on top, not the larger “upgrade” gearbox with the six bolts on top. The brace kit was a perfect fit and should extend the life of my steering gearbox indefinitely.

Can a Dodge Ram 3500 be trimmed to 16 wheels?

If you still have 16″ Wheels you will have to trim tie rod shaft. Mine was very close, I cut the hex end of the shaft and had plenty of clearance. Had to change out the pitman arm because the adjustable link on the Drag Link rubbed the cross member.

Why are Dodge Ram 3500 steering linkage problems?

I should knock it another star or two because Dodge obviously is aware of the problems with the original “Y” linkage for ’03-’08 trucks, and the reasons for “death wobble”, because they are selling an “upgrade” to fix it, yet they are unwilling to issue a recall and pay for installation of the upgraded linkage on the affected vehicles.

Is the Dodge Ram 3500 4 wheel drive?

OEM, came in a Mopar labeled box, made in good old Mexico. Much thicker than stock. It WILL FIT 2001 Dodge 2500 with 4 wheel Drive. If you still have 16″ Wheels you will have to trim tie rod shaft.
